Thoresby has become one of the most exceptional settings for weddings in North Nottinghamshire, able to accommodate up to 200 guests for dinner and up to 250 for drinks receptions.
Ceremonies at Thoresby capture the romance with beautiful countryside and a relaxed feel. A personal, flexible and friendly approach ensures all the needs of your wedding are met in this exquisite historic location.
Weddings and civil ceremonies can take place in the dramatic setting of the Victorian Riding Hall with its soaring arched ceiling, red brick walls and superb wooden floor, or outside in a marquee on Thoresby Lawns with the beautiful Thoresby Hall as a backdrop. The cobbled Courtyard is the perfect entrance for your wedding party and as daylight fades to night automatic lighting allows you to expand your celebrations out, under the stars.
St.John’s church, Perlethorpe sits prettily in the heart of Thoresby Park, only a delightful 5 minutes walk through the Park and over the stone bridge to the Riding Hall.
The space inside the Riding Hall is entirely yours to set up and decorate as you wish from the most elaborate stage set for a fancy dress or themed wedding, or simply enjoy the wonderful historical features in their original form in a classic style. Our wedding Administrator will be on hand to meet you when you visit, and to offer unlimited advice on how you can make the best use of Thoresby’s unusual and historic character.
Because you are in charge of your day you can choose caterers from our own approved list, provide your own, or even do it yourselves. There is a licensed bar on site or alternatively you can take advantage of our recommended suppliers. Everyone will be working together to ensure that your special day proceeds just as you wish, making your wedding quite unique.
